José Rafael del Cid forged an academic and professional path in the applied social sciences guided by his youthful yearnings to build a more equitable and happy world for all humanity. From his academic vantage point, formed over a life of teaching at University, Rafael is convinced that science, ethics and education are the means of building such an inclusive and sustainable society.
Outside of academia, doctor del Cid’s professional life is punctuated by worldwide consulting engagements in Central America, South America, South-East Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. Rafael’s long rolodex of clients, acquired while working with Capra International (now Ghubril Ltd.) includes UNICEF; the World Bank as well as the WTO and his services are routinely sought by international agencies such as the ILO.
José Rafael del Cid earned a Doctorate in Sociology at the university of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras.
